Valentine's Day Is Just Around The Corner

Next week is Valentine's Day, which has become a day to tell people in your life how special they are to you. Some people give cards, flowers, or candy. The picture above is from the window of Schrafft's, a very famous store that started in the early 1900's and expanded throughout the United States. Its candy and chocolate were very popular.

Although we should try to eat healthy foods, sometimes we just need a special treat. What is your favorite treat? Do you like a special candy? Maybe you prefer ice cream or cookies? Perhaps you prefer something different than a sweet, like chips, pretzels or pizza?

Tell us about your favorite treat and what you like about it. Here is my example:

When I want a special treat I get a sugar cookie with sprinkles or frosting. I like that sugar cookies come in different shapes and sizes and I especially like the sprinkles because of the different colors they come in.

    My favorite treat is ice cream. My favorite kind of ice cream is vanilla because you can make any ice cream you want out of it and I like the flaver of it!

    When I want a special treat I get chocolate chip cookies. They are my favorite treat! They are very very good and I especially love when they first come out of the oven. They are awesome!

    My favorite special treat is hard candy. I like it because it will last long and it comes in different flavors. My favorite flavor is butter scotch because it is sweet. Hard candy is easy to share with friends. It is also good when you have a sore throat or cough.

    I like to get ice cream. My favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip because I like mint. I also like green and black. I like it also because my brother likes it. Before I liked vanilla but now I like mint chocolate chip.

    I can't wait until our Valentines party. I'm bringing laffy taffy in to school. There are 24 laffy taffys in the box. I get 2 left because there are 22 students in my class. I am also bringing in clementines for my class. My mom wanted a healthy snack for my class.

    My favorite treat is a cookie. But a chooklet chip cookie. I like it because well I like chooklit chip and the cookie part. But my mom says it is not helthey for me. But I still eat it a lot. I wander how do they make it.

    I have a couple of favorite treats. These are my favorite treats. B-B-Q chips, Doritos, ice cream, and flavor blasted goldfish. I like almost every kind of chip that is spicy. My favorite ice cream flavor is Black Raspberry Chocolate. I like flavor blasted goldfish because they have flavoring on them like extra cheddar and that makes flavor blasted goldfish taste good.

    My favorite treat is a candy called Smarties. One of the reasons I like them is because there sweet and sour. Another reason I like them is because they have a bunch of flavors. I would eat smarties all day and everyday if I could. I wonder if I'm going to get some for Valentines Day?

    My favorite treat to eat is icecream. One of the reasons I like icecream because there are so many kinds. Another reason I like them is because you can mix it and make it into a milk shake. If someone would want me to eat a whole container of icecream I would. I hope I get a lot of icecream for Valentines day.

    My favorite sweet snack is chocolate candy. I really like Hershey bars.I like them because they melt in your mouth. I also like them because you can share them with friends. That is my favorite snack.

    I like valentines day because my nana gives me gell stickers for my window. I like the hershey kisses I get.I like handing out cards to all my friend's. I get lots of cards from my friend's to. It's a fun day.

    I love Valentines day because then we get to plan a party at school and at home. My favorite treat is Dove chocolate. It is Delicious! I also like Hershey Kisses. I love them because they are chocolate and I like chocolate

    My favorite candy is white chocolate. It is white chocolate because I like cookies and cream. I also like Twix bars because I like the carmal in side. But I like white chocolate beter than Twix bars. I really like white chocolate and Twix bars.

    I like pink twix because it is still chocolet and you get to get a pink coler in it with a heart it is yummy! I love eating them. If you now what it is then you must be a girl that likes pink a lot and likes chocolet a lot.And I like the party I want to have pink heartey twix. HAVE FUN AT THE PARTY!!!!!!

    My favorite candy or special treat is a what cha ma call it.They are soooooooo good :). The first time I ate a whach cha ma call it I ate it with a friend we cut it in half. I told him what ather people told me and they said it was soooooo goood that they were about to melt if they did not get one. That is why a whach cha ma call it is the best candy for me. raply to this comment if you want.

    My favorite special treat is icecream even if it's really cold. I like sprinkles on it. My favorite kind is choclite. And my birthday is on valentines day. It's kind of cool having my birthday on that day.

    My favorite valentines candy is a chocolate bar. I like them because well I like chocolate. I don't like white chocolate but I do like brown chocolate bars. I want to go to Hershey park to get a Hershey brown chocolate bar. I hope I get to go to Hershey park soon. wish me luck you guys.

    When I want a special treat I get a Reeses peanut butter cup. I like that Reeses peanut butter cups come in different shapes and sizes like pumpkins, eggs, and the original cup and I especially like the peanut butter filling because of the creamy texture and wonder taste they have.

    My favorite Valentine's treat has to be those special heart Peppermint Patties. I love them so much! As soon as you bite into one, it's peppermint flavor fills your mouth. The valentine ones have pink and white inside! Whenever I get a bag of Peppermint Patties, I eat them all that very day! I'm glad I don't get sick. I think one reason I love them so much is because I hardly ever HAVE them. That makes the flavor taste even better. I guess I like it so much because it has a chocolate shell, my favorite thing on candy. I mean, I also like Kit-Kats and Butterfingers, but I just LOVE Peppermint Patties! Do you like Peppermint Patties?

    My favorite Valentines is skittles because the company makes them really fast and there just good to me and a lot other people. Plus there are different catagories of flavors and each pack bag or box. I literally have them a whole lot but I haven't had all off them, I have only had the main flavors witch are origionl, crazy cores and sours but that is all. I have seen new flavors a lot a lot.

    To me cheese cake is the best food I do not know why I like cheese cake so much.First time I tried cheese cake was in New York City at a bar/food place it was SO good and that was the first I tried cheese cake.

    I would have to say my favorite treat is a bag of Jolly Rancher Awesome Towwsome Chews. I like them because they are so good. They are like an outside soft chewy shell of either cherry or I think strawberry. In the middle of the soft chewy outside layer of strawberry there is this delicious watermelon like goey meltness. In the middle of the outside layer of cherry there is orange goey deliciousnes. It is so good. They melt in your mouth and there just plain good. Also I like Jolly Ranchers. They are very good. They are a hard candy either flavored blue rasberry, cherry, apple, watermelon, or grape. My favorite jolly rancher in the whole world is a sour cherry one. I like it because to me cherry is the most sour one and when it is sour it is even better. Also cherry is my favorite color.

    I like lots of different sweets on Valentines day like Hershey Kisses. Every year my family does this really fun fancy diner were we dress up fancy and talk in fancy accents. We get fancy stuff like turkey and mash potatoes and corn. We also dim the lights and have music on this year we are doing a time capsule. But then we get to pick are favorite Valentines sweet and I would have to say the best Valentines sweet would be chocolate because you mostly buy chocolate so I think that chocolate is the best sweet and I think it is the perfect choice.

    I am not what you call a "sweet" person I really do not like candy. I don't like the that sugar on my taste buds. I would much rather prefer a item from the bakery like a chocolate chip muffin [their my favorite] or a chocolate filled brownie they are all sooooo delicious to me. I love valentines day and love all of the goodies. I hope that everyone has a fantastic wonderful valentines day!!!!!!:)

    My favorite Valentine's treat is peanut butter cups. I love the peanut butter filling inside the peanut butter cups and how they come in all different sizes. Out of all the sizes my favorite size would have to be the biggest size they have.

    I like either Hershey's Jolly ranchers, Skittles, or peanut butter cups. I liked Jolly ranches and Skittles since I was like 3 years young but I don't really know why. I guess because Jolly ranchers are flavored suck on candy's and because Skittles are just fruit flavored. I also like peanut butter cups because they are peanut butter and chocolate I think that is a very very good idea. I almost forgot that I really like cookies and cream chocolate bars because of the little cookie bites and the white chocolate taste.

    My Valentines sweet treat would be two things. One a 3 musketeers chocolate bar and two would be cake! Why I said cake is because my Birthday is 4 days before Valentines day! I love and I mean LOVE 3 musketeers. I like the creamy whipped chocolate inside and the chocolate on the outside! So it is basically double chocolate! I think that double chocolate is AWEOME!!!!!! Well everyone probably does! My favorite kind of cake is......... well............................. CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like ti because I don't like vanilla to much that would be the last pick. My second pick would be marble. It would because marble is just soooooo good! I like homemade cakes too! I do because when it was my sister Faith's Birthday my baking sister Nicole made a homemade strawberry cake! She did so much designee on it and she did because she iced it! I think that My teacher Mrs.Musone's favorite Valentines treat would be a cookie. I don't now why but I can just see her liking cookies I like Valentines because I like when you have a Valentine it's like a mystery and you have to find out who it is! I sorta think that that is FUN!! I LOVE Valentines day because it is around my Birthday and because I LOVe sweets!

    My favorite treat is chocolate chip cookies because I like chocolate and when my mom makes Valentines chocolate chip cookies she puts colorful icing on them and that just puts joy in me. I am going to hand out the Valentines Day cookies on the 14th at my bus stop. I can't wait to see the surprise I get on Valentines Day because my mom always gets me something special and last year she got me a stuffed monkey and my sister got a stuffed frog but she already had a frog and I already had a monkey so we traded and it was special because it was pink with hearts on it. I think that Valentines Day is a sweet day when you can love your friends, family, teachers, coaches for a sport you play, teammates, cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and people who are know longer alive. I am glad that Valentines Day was even invented. On Valentines day I am going to give my mom a box of chocolate hearts. On Valentines Day I am going to buy something and ask Mrs. Musone if she will give it to Mrs. Shaffer and I will not say what it is because Mrs. Shaffer would see since this is her blog. On Valentines Day I am going to pass out Valentines and there is chocolate attached to it. I am thinking of buying presents for my 3 best friends named Grace, Anna, and Mackenzie.

    Sometimes my family invites some friends over for a party on valentines day. We get a lot of Hershey stuff like Hershey kisses, mini Hershey bars and sometimes we even give out the BIG Hershey kisses as presents. Oh and I almost forgot we also get ICE CREAM! If I had to choose a favorite special treat it would have to be..............ICE CREAM!!!! This is how My favorite to least favorite would go 1.ice cream 2.Hershey kisses 3. mini Hershey bars 4. would have to be the BIG Hershey kisses. I hope that my family will throw a party this year. And if they do I hope it will be the best valentines day party ever:)

    Well Mrs.Sheffer, I love, LOVE, LOVE valentines day because the week after it is my birthday week! I do have a few favorite valentine foods: chocolate, pizza, cake, ice cream, and fun dip. Chocolate is always a great valentine treat. Pizza because pizza is my favorite food in the whole entire world and it is always my birthday dinner. Cake and ice cream... birthday dessert. And I like to put fun dip with the valentines I give out.

    Hmmm...this is a hard choice. There are many treats that I enjoy, some healthy and some not so healthy. I'd have to say my favorite dessert in the whole world is chocolate ice cream with stuff in it. By stuff, I mean chocolate swirls, cookies, nuts, pretty much anything that will make it chunky. I enjoy a bowl of ice cream after dinner. I also like almonds. I think they are delicious especially the ones that have cinnamon on them. They taste as yummy as they smell, that is, if you like almonds and cinnamon. Sometimes, I get hungry for different treats such as granola bars or Rolos or Reese Peanut Butter Cups. I'm not very fond of coffee flavored desserts. I'd probably pass on expresso flavored ice cream.

    My favorite treat is probably ice cream. I like ice cream because it is smooth and less likely for you to choke. It also comes in multiple flavors. You can also put lots of toppings on it like sprinkles and my favorite , whipped cream. For Valentine's Day you can also put red and pink sprinkles or hearts on ice cream. My favorite kind of ice cream is moose tracks because it is so chocolately.

    I would have to say a hershey hug or a rollo or a cookies n cream bar because I can't decide which is better so I will list them: 1 rollo 2 cookies n cream bar 3 a hershey hug and skittles are good too my motto is: the chocolates rocks it.

    My favorite treat to eat is popcorn. I love buttered popcorn and kettle corn popcorn. Kettle corn is a little mix between sweet and salty. Even thought I love popcorn, I never get it at the movie theater. Too much butter for me!

    My favorite treat to eat is peanut butter chocolate cake. It is like some heated chocolate in the middle of the cake. The peanut butter is on and in the cake while the chocolate is only in the cake. The cake tastes so awesome.
