Last week The Sound of Music was on television. Did you watch it? The original is one of my all-time favorite movies and it was interesting to see it done with new people. I love all kinds of music and usually have some sort of music playing no matter what I am doing. I don't sing very well at all (as a matter of fact I am terrible) but it still makes me feel good to sing along.
What is your favorite kind of music? What songs do you like to sing to?
From last week: The picture last week was a print from the Library of Congress titled Japanese walking with umbrellas in snow. Many of you picked up about the snow and the umbrellas but not too many mentioned the Japanese feature. I love the original Sound of Music. I wasn't too crazy about the one that was on TV with new people. I did sing ALL of the songs with the show though. My kids were holding their ears! My favorite song is at the end when the children sing Good Bye and go to sleep!

ReplyDeleteHi, Mrs. Sheffer! I, like you, love watching The Sound of Music. I've seen the original oodles of times and it never seems to get old. I did not get a chance to watch the newest version with Carrie Underwood.
ReplyDeleteRight now, I listen to a lot of pop music, music that is popular on the radio. That's partly because I have a twelve year old daughter who enjoys listening to the latest tunes.
I do like pop music, but also like to listen to musicals. Actually have seen several musicals performed live on stage. (Musical are plays put to music.) The music from these productions tell a story. It's always interesting to me to see how the stories unfold through songs. Hairspray is a fun musical to listen to and always brightens my spirits.
Looking forward to seeing what other people like to listen to and why!
I love Kelly clarkson she is my all time favorite my favorite song by her is what doesn't kill you make's you stronger also because of you mr know it all behind these hazel eye's and lot's of other's so my point is I like Kelly clarkson as my favorite singer

ReplyDeleteOMG I totally watched the movie it is awesome! I loved it even though the first time I watched the movie it was the original movie but I still loved it! the first thing I did when it came on was make popcorn and squeal like a maniac but my brother had to slap me to get me to stop squealing. Finally I got it together and watched the movie but by the time I stoped the movie had already started to play and I was really bumbed that I missed some of it. But my favorite part is when Maria starts to sing to the kids this song:Doe a dear a female dear . Ray a golden drop of sun and so on well that is my favorite part respond as soon as possible bye!
