This winter has been great if you like snow and cold weather. So far, we have had a record number of snow days and delays. Do you like having an unexpected day off school? What do you do on a snow day? Do you think you will be liking these snow days when you are going to school longer into the summer?
By the way, some of your comments from last week on what you would do if you were President of the United States were awesome! I especially liked the ones about helping the homeless, getting rid of smoking, cleaning up litter, and having healthy choices at lunch! That is really good thinking!

DeleteOn a snow day i will biuld a snowman with my friends and family. I make a snow forts and it is 4ft wide and 20 inches long. I like snow das but i do not want to stay in school even longer i want to have fun go crazy you know what i mean.I will go sledding too. does that sound fun too?

ReplyDeleteI make a snow fort with my friends.it is one foot deep it has a giant wall. And it has a undergrownd tunnel.It took four people to make it me shawn Mathew and Ethan a. It took 18 day's but it way's fun I had a really fun.

ReplyDeleteOn the snow days I went to my friend Ryan's house and played in his fort. I'm sad because were going to have a short summer, But next year were going to have a short school year. I was planning to play minecraft all summer. I built a snowman but my brother destroyed it.

ReplyDeleteI used to enjoy having a snow day off, but we have had too many this year. When we are off I enjoy staying inside by the fire and reading a book or watching a movie with my boys. I think we are going to have a lot of days to make up and we will miss a little bit of summer vacation. That makes me sad because I can't wait to visit the beach!

ReplyDeleteI like to shovel, snowball fights, make snow forts and drinking hot chocolete. I like to go to the park and snow boarding and skiing. I like to play Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe for my Xbox 360 and play Disney Infinity for the Wii. That's what I do when there's no school.

The next thing I would do is go sledding and I always go sledding with my friends down the street. Another thing is that I make forts out of snow. My brother and I loved to build a snow(boy, or her) tougher. The snow ( some times) is good building snow. I love to make snowballs and throw them at my brother and have a snowball fight. DeleteWe have had enough snow days this year. More would be dreadful. When June comes it will be horrible. We will have to stay for extra days! A few snow days are fine but this, this is terrible. Oh and for the people that like snow, your school district gave you weekends for that. Snow days mess up my routine. If we have snow days that are linked together, it feels weird going to school and I get tired during the day. 2 hour delays however, are awesome. To me 2 hour delays scream SLEEP IN! Now we also can't have recess. THANKS A LOT NATURE!

DeleteI do not like the snow days. The reason I don't like snow days is it's taking away our summer. I like summer because it's when you can be outside going to the pool going to Dutch Wonderland and Hershey Park. I would love going to all those place's including water parks! That's why I don't like snow days.

ReplyDeleteI thought it was fine to have snow days the first couple of times but then I started to HATE it because we owe summer. When there are snow days I usually go to the hill and snowboard for a while. I also like to play board games with my family. I hope we don't have any more snow days because my family has some good plans for this summer like go to my beach house in Cape Cod!

I do like having no school but I also don't like it because we have more days of school. What I like to do in snow is build snowballs and throw snowballs at my brother and shove in snow. It is a lot of fun ( for me ). But when we play inside on a snow day then I like to drink hot chocolate, play board games and chase my brother until he or my parents yell at me. I hope that it gets warm soon seriously I am freezing when I go outside even with a coat and snow pants.

ReplyDeleteWhen we have a 2 hour delay and when my brother goes to his collage then I have to go to my neighbors house and they would watch me and then when it is time to go outside and wait for the bus and then when I got on I would have to tell Mrs.Vivian (my bus driver) that me neighbor watched me.
So it kinda matters.
This weather is awesome and I love the cold weather, but even I am getting tiered of all the snow days. I will be mad if we go any further into summer, because we are already further in than I would like to be. What I like to do on snow days is build a tower and snowboard down it. I absolutely hate having unexpected snow days!!!

ReplyDeleteon snow days i like to snowboard and sometimes put a bunch of water on the snow then trim it into a sword made out of ice and when i make a snowman i put water on it so when my sister comes to destroy it it stays the same i also like to seal the basement because we have a door outside that leads to our basement so when my dad sometimes uses it he cant open it so he has to brake the snow so he can open it i also like to build snow forts and freeze it so that no one can brake it this is why i like snow days.

DeleteI don't want any more snow days because we have had 12 snow days and are summer is becoming shorter and shorter. I like one or two snow days but not a lot like this year. It has also been very very cold. We have not been outside because of the cold. I love summer time and being out of school but now we have to be in school for a lot longer then we would be if we didn't have all the snow days. I like to get of school on time so we can have a longer summer.

I have to help shovel and it's hard and I can't stay out long because my hands get really cold. We have to make up snow days too. I would rather be at the beach any beach where it's warm.
