What a crazy Saturday we had in Pennsylvania! Snow in October is not something that happens too often. Did you like seeing it? Did you get to play in it? Did you lose electricity or any trees? Tell us how this very unusual weather event affected you.
This weekend's weather was NOT a welcome surprise...for a grown up anyways. I actually left town in the morning while it was still raining and only saw wet snow that did not accumulate where I went, Washington DC. Therefore, I dodged the weather. However, at my house all was well because my parents and kids were not without electricity or heat. We also did not lose Internet service, which so many of my students did. My kids liked playing out in the snow and didn't mind having Sunday School canceled the next day. When I got home, most of the snow had already melted. My husband had to pull a fallen branch off a tree and cut it down. Not bad for a snowstorm!
I think it was very unusual. what I did was I went sledding on the hill in my neighborhood. y favorite part was when I pushed my little sister Delaney down the hill and she landed in mud.I laughed hard. After that I helped my friends shovel snow off there driveway. I was super cold after my time playing so I went inside my house to relax. I had hot chocolate. On Halloween I went trick or treating with my friend Vivenne and saw some of my friends. I loved the snow. It made me have a good time.
I was surprised when my mom told me that there was going to be snow. I was staying at a hotel when all the snow started I did not pack the right shoes so my shoes were soaking wet every time that I went outside. I felt really bad for my grandparents they went without power AND water for around 2 days. This was the first time that I have ever experienced snow in October and it was AWESOME my sister and my cousins and I all had a snowball fight it was soooooooo much fun. Trick or treating was really fun too. My friends and I and my sister all had a lot of fun trying to doge the puddles and snow blocks and we would make snowballs and throw them at each other and eat the snowballs and throw them at our mom. The first snow storm of the year was exiting and fun!!!!!!
On Saturday it was soooooooooooo FUN because I ran and jumped in the snow and made knee marks and then made hand marks! It was soooooo Fun! I didn't even care that Sunday School was canceled! I had FUNNNNN in the snow:)
That my house it snowed and snowed.I had so much snow I made a snowman.My snowman was so big and fat that I was little to it.I was so fun out in the snow.But I cut off the snowman's head.It was so crazy on sunday.
When it really started snowing I was mostly in Maryland helping my dad paint his office, but when we got home, I called my friend over. We had a snowball fight. I guess you can say that I really liked the snow.
At my house the lights turned off for about an hour or two. When I went outside the snow was really big. Me and brother made giant snowballs but it was to hard to make a snowman.
In the snow me and my brother made a huge fort in the backyard. Then I threw a big snowball at the back of his head. Then he threw one at my back and I fell into the snow.
I really liked when it snowed. I got to make my first snow fort! It took us what felt like hours to make it. We had to go inside after a huge branch almost hit me. We got to have hot chocolate though. I pretty much just played my DSi inside. We lost electricity for 2 minutes and I freaked out! I did think the snow was beautiful, though. It was really fun!
On Friday I went to my papa's house. I heard lots of trees break from all that snow weighing down the trees. One tree broke and all the lights went out. I was very scared and my papa,mom and me had to eat our dinner with candle.
I didn't mind the snow but we had a little power out and we only had to reset our clock and that's why it was little! I loved playing in the snow because I made a million things out of snow like the Spinx but that's what I made and my brother made M.T Rushmore! We kicked M.T Rushmore down! Other than the power out it was fine!
This weekend I played in the snow with my friend Grace Rishel and we carved pumpkins we also lost power it went off tHen right back on. I liked seeing it because it was beautiful when it was coming down hard. I thought it was a wet snow but it was still fun to play in because me and Grace had a contest of who could make it look like we actually fell off and she won. Then we did a contest of who could do a backflip off the swing and land on their feet and I won.
This weekend I was at the beach we did not get any snow all we got was lots of rain. When I went to the beach Saturday morning it was not snowing yet but when we got back there was still snow on the ground. I did not get to play in the snow but I really wanted to play in. I did not lose electricity or any trees that was lucky. The weather did not affect us we had to go to the beach to winter rise my trailer.
I was playing in the snow with my friend and then there was a CRACK! We both looked at each other and then all around. Luckalee the tree was not mine but it was a huge Branch of of a big tree. Then for some strange reason we both went on one knee and started to sing the national anthony. Later that night My friend and his brother that is ten but about to turn 11 came over. My other friend that is sixteen came over too and we all played tackle football.
I thought that the snow was cool. Every time my brother Gavin looked out the back door, he freaked out. Me, Gavin, Ella, and my dad played in the snow at about 6:00 pm. It was very dark, and not that cold actually. We had a snowball fight and it was dad against me and my sibling's. My dad is a really really really hard snowball thrower! He through son hard that he knocked down my sister once. We lost our electricity some. It flickered.I had a great weekend.
This was a CRAZY weekend! In our yard our tree fell over. At my grandmas house, I almost got lost in the woods! I also had a frosty freezy snowball fight.
This weekend there was a snowstorm on October 29th 2011. At my house there were a lot of branches that fell off my trees. I had a tree that lost most of it's branches because it didn't loose it's leaves and it gives it a lot of presser to the branches. I lost electricity three times but those three times it only went out for ten seconds. I thought not bad for a snowstorm especially in October which it usually doesn't snow in.
This snow was not kind to are trees who got there branches pushed down every where. My family had three medium branches and three in the backyard but one of them in the back yard took up most of the backyard my dad said man this will be a lot more chopping.We had power all weekend it went out three times but came on in one second later.My dad and I both have a Xbox so and the internet was down so we couldn't connect to Xbox live.
Saterday my sister's friend Lauran came over for a sleep over and to come with my sister and I when we got to the big hill in my neighborhood one time when I went down on my snowboard I fell off of it and started to do side rolls and the next thing ya know I started doing back rolls down the hill. It was really fun when I got back to the top of the hill I fell back down the hill. And yes I got effected by the snow my was out intill Sunday night.
I did think it was unusual. But I loved Playing in it with my dog. It was her first time ever being in the snow and i think she reall enjoyed it. The electricity went out so we had to go to my cousin's house. It was a crazy weekend.

When it was snowing it was wild. When me and my mom where out on satday it was crazy. We had to go to tunes of places on satday . Every single time we would go out side it would go in my face.
I loved the snow! I played games and had snow ball fights and I could take the hole time talking about it. I knew that the snow was coming, but I was more afraid of Halloween and if it was going to be trick or treat or not! I did not play in the snow the next day, I only played in it for 30 min. and that was only before dinner! Well, I should get going.BYE!
I am fine with the snow. I like snow sometimes when its not yellow. My mom has a recipe for snow ice cream. On sunday my sister eva hit me in the face. I cried like there was no tommorw .
I cant believe that it snowed yesterday. That is awesome. I would not think that it would snow in October. I loved the snow though. My sister and I played out in the snow. We played snowball fight, build snowmans and the best was sliding on the ice\snow. :)
When the snow stared coming down I had my last football game. We won our last football game. That made me happy because we didn't win any of our other games.
I just can't believe it snowed on Saturday. I went outside and I rang on my friends door bell then we had a snowball fight I won and then we went sliding I went fast. That's what I did over the weekend.
I was not expecting it to snow on Saturday. My teacher said that it was not going to snow at all on Saturday. My family got lucky because the power in my house didn't go out. My grandma and grandpa's power went out, and they had to sleep at our house for the night. I also played outside and made an attack layer in my play set, and it was filled with snowballs so I could attack people that came by. I went sledding down the hill in my front yard. I also made snow angels but my sister crushed one of them.
On Saturday it was snowing like crazy. I did not expect it to snow that bad that my power went out. I was upset because I could not play my video games at all. On Saturday night my family and I had to set up candles all over the house so we did not trip or fall. But then my dog started running around the house and he tripped me and I fell over. When we woke up the power was on and I was so happy.
I did not lose electricity but, the lights flickered. if you think about it, it was pretty icey my little brother thats 3 fell on the ice but, no damage. I enjoyed waching the snow fall.
I loved seeing the snow,my tree fell down and I did not lose electricity at all, I played in the snow all day and the nexi day 2 I had so much fun over the weekend. I mostle had fun when I played outsind because I made 10 snowman.
We did not lose electricity but we did have a branch fall from our neighbors tree.It is very big. I did get to play in the snow with my friends Kara and Leah. We built a snowman and made a fort to have a snow ball fight but we did not get to have it because the snow melted to early.
Well I wasent looking forward to the snow when the weatherman said it was going to snow on Saturday. I thought it wouldent come but it did. So it was pretty unexpecting.
I watchd the naws and it said it would snow we thoght it was fake but it was real it I couldnot belive. you could say it was fun but not fun to shavel it was fun because you can play I love the snow I ponder if we will have it again.
I was at my friends house and a bunch of trees broke. Her mom made us play in the back yard where there are no trees to fall on us. When we got cold we went inside for hot chocolate.
I thought the snow looked beautiful. However, I spent an hour shoveling our driveway so that Allison's grandparents, and uncles could come over for dinner.
I thought that the snow was great but my dad is a landscaper so he had to plow snow at different places. I did get to playin the snow a millon times. I hope it snows again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The snow efected me because the cable went and a did a whole bunch of chores.I did get to play in the snow.I went sleding. We keep hiting this tree that's been down for almost been down for a year.
When the snow stared to fell i was at tri-town field and i was very cold and then i was about to run home and then i got home and i run up stais and then I jumped up into my bed and i covered up and then i asked my mom if i can have aome hot cholclat and then i had some and then i feel a sleep and ten i had alot of fun yesterday in the snow so i had alot of fun and i got to have alot of hot colchlat
I love having the snow in October and I did get to play in it but I made a snowman and my brother pushed me ontop of it and then he blammed it on me and i got in trouble and snow in October is so awesome! When i was making lunch for my sisters i heard a crash and a tree fell on my dads house (it almost hit the NEW car!!!!) it scared me i started laughing and while laughing i cried it was funny and scary. At my moms our neighbors tree fell and it made a luod sound and when i walked outside to play i slipped and fell down the stairs i thought i broke my arm but mom said to move it and it still worked! I LOVE THE SNOW IN OCTOBER!!!
I got to play in the snow but we lost power from saturday to tuesday morning. We had tons and tons of trees down on our road,house, and lane. And I did enjoy watching it fall.
On Saturday I played in the snow when our eletric went out.We didnt get eletric until Monday.I played in the and built a huose and it was AWESOME! I liked seeing snow in October even though we didnt have eletric I had lots of fun.It was a blast playing in the snow with my family.
I couldnt beleive how many trees that were down! But I didnt lose power either. That was the cool part. So when I was done playing out there in that CHILLY snow I was FREEZING!!! I had a fun time because my friend and I went to our friends house to SLED! I loved it. We also had fun snowball fight. I went home and then it was the next next day and me and my cousin were having a SNOWBALL FIGHT but then he told on me because I accidentaly hit him in the face with one. So that was pretty fun and then I waited for Monday to come.
I was shocked to see snow in October! I made a snowman 3 snowman with my friend. One little one, one big one, and one medium. I played with my other friend in the snow too. I also made a snowman in my backyard by myself. My dog kept running around and trying to eat my snowman so I had to cover it. One of my friend trees kept FALLING and their POWER WAS OUT for a while. That's what I did!
i was shocked snow in october but i was also happy because it snowed or my head would of poped off i just want it to snow i was shocked when it snowed 5 inches i could make a fort agian with my friends
I was very surprised to see the snow on Saturday! We have a tradition in our house that we bake chocolate cookies when we have a snowstorm. So, Alec and I baked cookies. Mr. P. and Erik were driving to Philadelphia for a Flyers game and we were very worried about them. They arrived in Phila. safely and only experienced a little bit of snow there. Alec and I took a long walk in the snow and enjoyed the beauty of it.
WOW! What a crazy day. Well, I made snow angels, snowmen, but my biggest tree broke the biggest branch on it! I certainly hope that does NOT happen again.
My tree is destroyed by the snow. My football game was not canceled and my toe was so numb I couldn't feel it. On the way to Sunday school the roads were closed and we were late for Sunday school.
I was playing with my friend and we heard a crack! It was the tree 10 feet away from my house. We saw it it split right in half. But we avoided it in our snowball fight. My team lost. But we had a lot of fun in the snow!
When it snowed I was on vacation at Rehobeth Beach. It rained the whole day on Saturday. When I got back there was snow in my front yard. My brother and my dad and I had a snow ball fight.
I went out in the snow with my brother and our power went on and off. My brother and I built forts and had a lot of snowball fights. My brother won a lot of them. The snowballs kind of hurt because the snow was kind of hard. What a snow day especially in October!
Ah! snow in October. CRACK!What was that! My tree fell.Oh no electricity. I went outside and wow this snow is deep. I ran to my trampoline. And bouncy snow wow. We told ghost stories . Sleepover! My uncle, ant, step mom, step dad came because their out of power.
At my house I saw a tree fall in my yard. My friend and went in the snow. We played snow ball fight and I won it and we made snow angels. Then I saw that our fire pit fell through our deck and left a hole in the deck. When we went in to tell my mom and dad when we said that we did not want to go outside a gene my hands were frozen for one hour. That's what I did.
My snowy weekend was NOT good! I had to run errands with my mom in the snow. We went to Aunt .J.'s house and she made us some warm hot cocoa! That was the good part. We also had to go outside to fix the dish. Also we took our sleds and we sledded down a gigantic hill! We all said,"WHEEEEEEEEE!" Then we made a campfire and roasted marshmallows! Yummmmmm! We all had a terrifying and great time!
I was really not ready for this early snow fall in late october. I had just Tuned up my snow blower. Ironically I needed to use to it, however couldn't because the snow was to heavy and to wet. We had several branch break off from are large tree. Thank God no one was hurt. Actually the snow was kind of pretty. But much to early. That's nature for you. All God's creation's are beautiful.
When then Snow stated I was playing in it I made snow angls it was cold I all so had a snow ball fiet and got hit in the face it hirt and I got frost bit.It was time to go in.
the snow really suprised me but it was fu n getting to play in the snow before christmas but it was sad because many people die from falling tree branches because the branches wor not ready for the snow
I did not know that we were getting snow so it was kinda weird when I woke up and saw snow on the ground. I like snow but we lost are electricety so I was mad.
I think it's crazy that it was crazy it was snowing. I lost power for 2 days. It was as cold as snow. And I only got to play in the snow once. Very surprised.
snow was crazy i'm new in pa, and snow was out of this world. We did not have elctcty for 4 days strat it was asome. We wen't to my ants house.we also went to the marrot hotel.
When the unexpected snow fall came my house had elictricity for the first couple of hours but around three o'clock we lost it. and that's about when the trees in the woods started falling one tree branch even fell on our deck!!!
I was at my gramall's house we lost electriety for two day's we only could lison to music on my mom's old rado.

ReplyDeleteI cant believe that it snowed yesterday. That is awesome. I would not think that it would snow in October. I loved the snow though. My sister and I played out in the snow. We played snowball fight, build snowmans and the best was sliding on the ice\snow.

When the snow stared coming down I had my last football game. We won our last football game. That made me happy because we didn't win any of our other games.
ReplyDeleteI just can't believe it snowed on Saturday. I went outside and I rang on my friends door bell then we had a snowball fight I won and then we went sliding I went fast. That's what I did over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI was not expecting it to snow on Saturday. My teacher said that it was not going to snow at all on Saturday. My family got lucky because the power in my house didn't go out. My grandma and grandpa's power went out, and they had to sleep at our house for the night. I also played outside and made an attack layer in my play set, and it was filled with snowballs so I could attack people that came by. I went sledding down the hill in my front yard. I also made snow angels but my sister crushed one of them.
ReplyDeleteOn Saturday it was snowing like crazy. I did not expect it to snow that bad that my power went out. I was upset because I could not play my video games at all. On Saturday night my family and I had to set up candles all over the house so we did not trip or fall. But then my dog started running around the house and he tripped me and I fell over. When we woke up the power was on and I was so happy.

ReplyDeleteI did not lose electricity but, the lights flickered. if you think about it, it was pretty icey my little brother thats 3 fell on the ice but, no damage. I enjoyed waching the snow fall.
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing the snow,my tree fell down and I did not lose electricity at all, I played in the snow all day and the nexi day 2 I had so much fun over the weekend. I mostle had fun when I played outsind because I made 10 snowman.
ReplyDeleteWe did not lose electricity but we did have a branch fall from our neighbors tree.It is very big. I did get to play in the snow with my friends Kara and Leah. We built a snowman and made a fort to have a snow ball fight but we did not get to have it because the snow melted to early.

ReplyDeleteI love having the snow in October and I did get to play in it but I made a snowman and my brother pushed me ontop of it and then he blammed it on me and i got in trouble and snow in October is so awesome! When i was making lunch for my sisters i heard a crash and a tree fell on my dads house (it almost hit the NEW car!!!!) it scared me i started laughing and while laughing i cried it was funny and scary. At my moms our neighbors tree fell and it made a luod sound and when i walked outside to play i slipped and fell down the stairs i thought i broke my arm but mom said to move it and it still worked! I LOVE THE SNOW IN OCTOBER!!!

ReplyDeleteOn Saturday I played in the snow when our eletric went out.We didnt get eletric until Monday.I played in the and built a huose and it was AWESOME! I liked seeing snow in October even though we didnt have eletric I had lots of fun.It was a blast playing in the snow with my family.

ReplyDeleteI couldnt beleive how many trees that were down! But I didnt lose power either. That was the cool part. So when I was done playing out there in that CHILLY snow I was FREEZING!!! I had a fun time because my friend and I went to our friends house to SLED! I loved it. We also had fun snowball fight. I went home and then it was the next next day and me and my cousin were having a SNOWBALL FIGHT but then he told on me because I accidentaly hit him in the face with one. So that was pretty fun and then I waited for Monday to come.
ReplyDeleteI was shocked to see snow in October! I made a snowman 3 snowman with my friend. One little one, one big one, and one medium. I played with my other friend in the snow too. I also made a snowman in my backyard by myself. My dog kept running around and trying to eat my snowman so I had to cover it. One of my friend trees kept FALLING and their POWER WAS OUT for a while. That's what I did!

ReplyDeleteI was very surprised to see the snow on Saturday! We have a tradition in our house that we bake chocolate cookies when we have a snowstorm. So, Alec and I baked cookies. Mr. P. and Erik were driving to Philadelphia for a Flyers game and we were very worried about them. They arrived in Phila. safely and only experienced a little bit of snow there. Alec and I took a long walk in the snow and enjoyed the beauty of it.

ReplyDeleteAt my house I saw a tree fall in my yard. My friend and went in the snow. We played snow ball fight and I won it and we made snow angels. Then I saw that our fire pit fell through our deck and left a hole in the deck. When we went in to tell my mom and dad when we said that we did not want to go outside a gene my hands were frozen for one hour. That's what I did.
ReplyDeleteMy snowy weekend was NOT good! I had to run errands with my mom in the snow. We went to Aunt .J.'s house and she made us some warm hot cocoa! That was the good part. We also had to go outside to fix the dish. Also we took our sleds and we sledded down a gigantic hill! We all said,"WHEEEEEEEEE!" Then we made a campfire and roasted marshmallows! Yummmmmm! We all had a terrifying and great time!
ReplyDeleteI was really not ready for this early snow fall in late october. I had just Tuned up my snow blower. Ironically I needed to use to it, however couldn't because the snow was to heavy and to wet. We had several branch break off from are large tree. Thank God no one was hurt. Actually the snow was kind of pretty. But much to early. That's nature for you. All God's creation's are beautiful.

ReplyDeleteWhen the unexpected snow fall came my house had elictricity for the first couple of hours but around three o'clock we lost it. and that's about when the trees in the woods started falling one tree branch even fell on our deck!!!
