World Teacher Day!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Globe.png
October 5 is World Teacher Day! This day was started in 1966 to honor teachers around the world. Teachers are very special people.

This week's post is for your teacher to thank him or her for something special he/she has done for you so far this year. Perhaps he/she has helped you with your reading, or your math. Maybe he/she gave you a good idea for a story you wanted to write. Take a minute to think of something special your teacher has done and write a few sentences to thank him/her and explain why it was important to you. Here is an example:

I would like to thank Mrs. Smith for giving me some extra help when I had trouble understanding place value. It is important to me because becoming good in math is something I will need to be successful in school and life.

  1. I would like to thank Mrs. Biasucci, my second grade teacher. Even though second grade was a VERY long time ago for me I still remember the things I used to do in her classroom. I remember practicing my vowel sounds and making bags with lots of cut out hearts for Valentine's Day. I do not remember everything I did in her classroom, but I remember how she made me feel. She made me feel important and had high expectations for me. I will always remember her and want to thank her for making my second grade year a memorable one.

  2. I would like to thank my 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Weikert. I loved painting snow, going swimming at the high school, and having that pizza party at the end of the year. I also remember practice on place value. There was also math games, like a board game where you add. I also liked playing that card game. You had to add or subtract and whoever did it fastest won those cards and put them in a pile. I also remember going around and putting valentines in our handmade boxes. I will never forget 2nd grade, or Mrs. Weikert!

  3. I would like to thank Mrs.Weikert for being my second grade teacher.Mrs.Weikert is the best teacher you can get. She would let us play fun math games like a magic trick one were you did math and it was like magic. Mrs.Wiekert also let us get points so if we were being quiet she would let us have points and when we got to 100 we got a prize. She also had bucket for when you were being good you would get your name in the bucket and on Friday you would get to get your name picked to win a prize. My favorite part about Mrs.Weikert was that she was really kind and she always does funny things with us even though I am in third grade.

Mrs. Hower said that the u in numerator stands for up so that's the top number and then the d in denominator stands for down. That's how I know which goes were. I remember on Valentines day before recess we all handed out are valentine cards then had a party and opened our cards we played all kinds of games and when the helper span me 10 times I fell over and she said she would spin me 2 times next time.
