We just had several days off school for the Thanksgiving holiday. What did you do during your Thanksgiving break? Write at least three full sentences. Be sure to start each sentence with a capital letter and end each sentence with a period, question mark or exclamation point. Here is my example:
During my time off school I read a new book titled Moon Tiger. I also baked some chocolate chip cookies and knitted a hat for my nephew. I watched the movie Whale Rider, which I had never seen. It was quite good.
Reminder – make sure you capitalize “I” when talking about yourself.
I had 2 thanksgiving diners, I watched movies at my cousins house, and played video games.

ReplyDeleteOn the break Iwent squrrel hunting,bear,and deer. I got a black squrrel in Center county on Wednesday. Also in Center county I went and sat in the woods with my dad for bear.That was on Saturday,Monday,and Tuesday. We never got a bear. Then we went for deer on Monday in my woods.we seen one doe in the morning. In the evening we saw 12 doe and 1 buck. I got a doe right before dark. we got it and are going to cut it up.

ReplyDeleteMy Thanksgiving break began with my parents coming to town to visit for the holiday and ended with my parents taking my kiddos, Jake & Frances, away on a week long cruise. Between those times, my family participated in the YMCA's Annual Turkey Trot along with more than 4,000 people including my student Wil, Mrs. Peckmann, and Mrs. Baum. We had a lot of fun and the weather was pleasant. Thanksgiving dinner left my family and I stuffed like some people stuff their turkey. We also went as a family to see The Muppets. I highly recommend this movie to EVERYONE...it's such a feel good show. My holiday was busy, but relaxing, and full of fun and love. I miss my kids dearly, but am enjoying time with my husband, John.
ReplyDeleteWhat I did on my Thanksgiving break was I played outside with my neighbors and my brother Cameron. We played football and a game we kinda made up called goalie wars. I also was sick so I had a ice pack on my for head and on my neck. I had a sleepover with my friend Jillian. My family got out our Christmas decorations up because we had time to and so we didn't have to do it later. I enjoyed my Thanksgiving break.
ReplyDeleteMy Thanksgiving was a happy one. I had it at my aunt's house and my cousin and I played Fifa soccer on his Xbox 360. He would win every time we played but it was still fun. I have it for the WII I think it better on the Xbox 360 thou. So at Thanksgiving dinner we got to write with sharpie on the table cloth what we were thankful about. After Thanksgiving my mom and dad and sister and I went to New York City and shopped. We also went to central park and Fao Schwartz I got a mini U.F.O. It is like a flying helicopter. I had a great Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteFor my Thanksgiving I went to my Yaya's house. My family spent four days there. On Thanksgiving day I had Thanksgiving LUNCH at my Grandma's house, not Thanksgiving dinner. We had turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, stuffing, rolls and for dessert, pumpkin pie! On Black Friday my mom went shopping. I wanted to go too! It was a really fun weekend and we also had a couple days in the week, of course. It was amazing! For the last couple of days, I just relaxed and had fun. Also on Thanksgiving, I think my dad watched Thanksgiving football. Like THAT wasn't predictable. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving too, Mrs.Shafer!
ReplyDeleteOn Thanksgiving I hosted the dinner with my Mom and my sister Lily. My Grandma and Popppop we had a lot of food that night. My favorite food that night was the desert. We had melted ice cream and jello into a bowl. Take my word it is YUMMY!!! I also went to see the Muppets and it is one of the best movies that I have ever seen. I saw that with my Mom. With my Dad I saw the movie Aurthur Christmas and that was also a amazing movie. Both of the movies I saw were worth seeing again. I another Thanksgiving dinner with my Mom, Lily, my Aunt and Uncle, and Cousin Alli. I had ANOTHER Thanksgiving dinner (don't worry this is the last one) with my Dad, Lily, my other Grandma and my other Grandma that dinner was amazing to. My Grandma told me that turkey makes you sleepy and she was right that night I fell asleep in a snap!!
ReplyDeleteOver my Thanksgiving break I of course had Thanksgiving.We had the best turkey ever.Me and my dad and mom were the only ones who liked it.My little sisters were disgusted at the taste of the turkey.I stuffed my self with 3 servings.Then I had mashed potatoes,corn,and stuffing.The stuffing tasted terrible.The next day I went to Frank Theaters to watch the new movie Happy Feet Two.It was the best. We were the only ones in the theatre so we ran around in it. we skipped black Friday because my mom said it was way to crowded with all the sales and everything. On Saturday I went to piano lessons.It was not fair because my piano teacher promised me I would go first but then she let my little sister Olivia go first.I was angry.Since I was last I did not get to finish class.On Sunday We dropped my dad off at the train station so he could see the Patriots vrz the Eagles. I was so glad because I love the Patriots and they crushed the Eagles.On Monday I had to got to Maryland to go to a Hotel so I could go to my uncles funeral.It was a sad moment.That was the best Thanksgiving break ever.
ReplyDeleteOver the Thanksgiving break my friend slept over at my house and during that sleep over we saw the super funny movie the Muppets my favorite part of the Muppets was Animal a Muppet saying in control. My favorite Muppet character is the Swedish chef. After the Muppets my dad surprised my sister Gabe my friend and me by saying any body up for a 100 Micnugget challenge and we screamed yes but we lost the challenge by like 10 nuggets. Every body was stuffed after the challenge dad said don't tell mom because we could do it once a year.
ReplyDeleteThis Thanksgiving my brother came back from college. So I played PS3 with him and spent as much time is I could with him since I nearly ever get to see him. I always cherish the time I get to spend with my brother. Next it was Thanksgiving dinner. Only two of my cousins came plus my brother and me. Since three of my cousins were in Florida. It was not the most favorite Thanksgiving dinner ever because we could not do a family tradition that is capture the flag because it was only my two cousins, brother, and me. I love Thanksgiving and other holidays because my family get together. Then my cousin Devon came to my house and slept over and my brother and I played Madden 11 for the PS3 for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI started my Thanksgiving by going to New Jersey. I ate some turkey, sweet potatoes (yummy!), mashed potatoes, and a bun with butter. For dessert, I had pumpkin shaffone pie. Yum! Since I don't celebrate Christmas, I get my presents at Thanksgiving. I got a guatair, a strap for it, 4 pic's, a guatair holder to go on the wall, a courier bag that you color yourself, my 4th hearts4hearts doll, Consuelo, and my 1st favorite, kindle fire. Last night we downloaded angry bird's for free and it took 30 seconds to download. I will never forget this Thanksgiving!

ReplyDeleteI had a great time over Thanksgiving break. First I played hockey my brother & my friend and I had a blast. The next day I played hockey again with the same people. When it was time to eat my Aunt, Uncle, and my three cousins came to eat with us. All the food was yummy. On Friday we almost went to see Jack and Jill but we missed it. We went to see the movie the next day witch was Saturday. On Sunday I played hockey most of the day but when it still had sunlight not much but there was sunlight my friend and I started to bike race. We raced 4 times. I was 4-0 witch stands for 4 wins & 0 loses. My friend Owen was 0-4 witch stands for 4 loses & 0 wins. On the last day off my Mom, Dad, and I started to put up Christmas decorations and now I'm back in school!
ReplyDeleteOver Thanksgivig brake I went to Baltobore city to go to Port Discovory! This is my second time going there when I went inside I was amazed I never knew it looked like what I guested. There was this giant playground for kids it was called the Kid works. My group got to climb it, soon I got bored of that and we did something else. We went into a mummy place and it looked realistic, we had to find clues to to figure out a code. Once we figured out the code it was beetle, amulet, grasshopper, and eye. We punched it in on a door there was a hole in it, I peered into the cracked and there was a tomb the mummy inside the door started talking and when it was finished the tomb disappeared. There was a lot other things they did too, I had a great time there!
ReplyDeleteThis Thanksgiving all began when my mom's cousin Fred came over on Wednesday to stay in till Friday. I'll tell you a little about their three kids starting from oldest to youngest. The oldest one's name is Isaiah he is five years old, the second oldest one's name is Anna she is four years old, the youngest one's name is Caleb. Caleb absolutely LOVED to play with my purple balloon that I got this year at a birthday party. Thanksgiving day my dad took Isaiah and I to cousler park. We had a BLAST playing tag. Isiah was the tagger. Isiah tagged me a couple of times but not that much. I did anything and when I say anything I mean anything to not get tagged. I hid took shortcuts and climbed to places that he could not get to or reach so I barley got tagged but just like I said he did tag me a couple of times and when he did I reached out my arm in the speed of light and tagged him right back and sprinted away just as fast as I reached out my arm. We went down to the rope park after that I liked climbing the big rock, relaxing on it, and then jumping down again and again it was really fun. When we got in the car I read a book to him it was called the book that eats people. When we got home we ate Thanksgiving dinner the next day Fred, Isiah, Anna, and Caleb left.

Their names are Ranger and Alice! alice is a girl and Ranger is a boy! Only a few of my relatives came! How I spent my Thanksgiving was with my family, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. I also had a sleepover with my friend Grace Rothrock's house and when we played around the world with her dad she won the first time and I won the second time and we didn't play a third time so her dad lost and he told us to keep it a secret so it wouldn't make him look bad, but just like I said that we are not supposed to tell of course I am posting it on the internet because I can't keep a secret at all so never ever trust with your secrets because then I just tell your secret.
ReplyDeleteOver Thanksgiving break my family got a puppy! It is a King Charles Cavalier. We named her Penny. She is so cute and loveable! We also went to see the Muppets movie during our break. The movie was so funny, I laughed the entire time. My family also visited the Longwood Gardens to see the Christmas lights that covered the garden plants. My mom took a video of the water fountain show. It was really cool to see the water light up in different colors.
