It is hard for me to choose which animal I wanted to learn the most about but I found out that April 25 is World Penguin Day so I thought I would try to learn more about these silly, but amazing, creatures. I found a Penguin Cam from Seaworld and spent a lot of time just watching them!

The most interesting fact that I think is interesting is there is penguins are the only birds that can not fly. I think that is the most interesting because that is the only bird that can not fly. Penguins are my favorite birds. I love to talk about birds and things like that. Penguins are so cool.
ReplyDeleteI learned there are eighteen species of penguins in the world and five of them are endangered. Most penguins are in the area of the South Pole. The most northen penguins live year round near the Galapagos Islands. Penguins are the fastest swimming and deepest diving species of any bird. That is what I learned about penguins.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite one is number 1. I did't not know they're are 18 kinds of penguins. I also did't know five of them are endanger. Wow 13 of them have declining. I wonder what penguins are endanger.
ReplyDeleteI don't agree with fact number 4. It's not even a fact. Penguins never flew. My favorite fact is fact number 5. I think it is interesting. I think that it is cool that penguins can do cool tricks.
ReplyDeletei love to learn about animals that go under the water and swim in the water and what kind of animals clime on trees a lot . i aso want to no if penguins slides on big hills. i like learning about animals what kind of food dose animals eat and my favrit animals are dogs and cats.
ReplyDeleteNumber 2 is the most interesting one. It said that penguins can be found in South America, South Africa, Australia,and New Zealand. Also penguins can swim up to 20 miles per hour. Penguins are also endangered too. I never knew all this.
ReplyDeleteI learned that there is 18 different species of penguins in the world. Also, there's 5 that are endangered. Then, I found out that penguins are the most fastest birds in the world. I can't believe how much I learned today.
ReplyDeleteI learned penguins lost the ability to fly millions of years ago. Since they can't fly, they learned how to swim really fast to catch their food. Penguins mainly eat fish. That is why they swim fast. I wish I could swim like a penguin.
ReplyDeleteI think the most interesting fact is the one about the Emperior penguim males and how they incubate their eggs for two months in the winter without eating while the females are at sea. And , the females return after the chicks have been hatched. I think its the most interesting fact because its so different from how we do thinks.
ReplyDeleteThe inaressting fact is the one with Empiore penguin. The females are at sea. And the come back when the baby penguins. Peguins mostly eat fish all kinds. I think thats the diff. from how we think.

DeleteMy most favorite interesting thing about penquins is that millions of years ago they could fly. I thing it it would be cool if humans could fly just like penquins did. One thing i like about penquins is that if you have a fish the penquins will follow you!

ReplyDeleteOne intresting fact that I learned was penguins are the only birds that can't fly. If I was a penguin I would be jealous of other birds. But they can swim at least. I would not like to be a bird that can't fly. I liked learning facts about penguins.

I think it's interesting that penguins are birds but they don't fly. They"re very good swimmers tho. I think penguins are cute. I never knew there was species of penguins. That's very interesting.
ReplyDeleteWhat I think is interestimg about Penguins. I think it is interesting how they make their home. It takes them a long time. They have to get the perfect rocks. It takes them a long time and they also have to watch out so other Penguins do not take their rocks. That fact to me is very interesting.

ReplyDeleteWhat I think is interesting about penguins is the BIG differences about species of penguins like the emperor penguin is the biggest and heaviest, it is 90 pounds when mature and a fairy penguin is the smallest and the lightest, only 2 pounds when MATURE.
ReplyDeleteIt is cold in antatica. How do penguins live in the cold. Thay have fethers that keep them warm. I know a kind of penguin it is called Epire penguin. It has yellow hair. It is so cool. I like penguins.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE penguins there awesome, funny, and nice creatures. They have WAY DIFFERENT kinds of them but only know the penguin and the Emperor Penguin... Penguins can survive in the cold because they have a thick layer of blubber under that thick layer of feathers!! Thats how they survive in the cold.

ReplyDeletePenguins are awesome. They slide on their tummies . They can live in freezing cold weather . Since they live in Antarctica they must have a trick cause it's mad cold over there! Penguins are so awesome I think their CUTE!
