This week is Pennsylvania Farm Show Week! Our farm show is the largest FREE indoor agricultural show in the country. I hope you get to visit it!
My favorite part of the farm show is seeing the animals and watching the Sheep to Shawl contest. If you do not know what that is, take a look at this video. I also like to see the huge sculpture made out of over 1000 pounds of butter. The one for 2013 is pictured above. Pretty cool!
Do you think you would like to live on a farm? Why or why not?
Yes, I would like to live on a farm because I like to grow things. I would also like to live on a farm because it is fun and I have experience!
ReplyDeleteNo,I would not like to live on a farm because animals make noise. Another reason why I don't want to live on a farm is because they stink. But I do like to sleep with pets that are not stinky. I really love animals. But I don't think living on a farm is not for me.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the Farm Show is the horse race. I also like the Butter sculpture. I like the part were you get to pet the bunny's! what is your favorite part? Did they make it snow this year?
ReplyDeleteHow do you even carve a sculchure with butter? Why did they carve the sculchure? When did they start building the sculchure?It's really amazing how it's possible to even build a sculcchure out of butter. How long did it take to build it?
DeleteI will not go to the Farm Show because my mom don't know where the Farm Show is. I think I want to go to the farm Show because I want to see what a Farm Show is. I don't want to live at a farm. The reason why I don't want to live at a farm is there might be hay and I will get itchy a little bit. Here is another thing why I don't want to live at the farm is I think it smell at the farm.
ReplyDeleteI would like to live on a farm. Living with a lot of different animals would be fun! It would be interesting to see them in their habitats. It would be an experience feeding them and taking care of them. There would be lots of fresh foods to enjoy like bacon, ham, eggs, milk, butter and lots of veggies!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite part is seeing the rabbits. My friend Maddie's rabbits were in the farm show and one of her rabbits were in 1st place and one in 2nd place and one in 3rd place.That was my favorite part of the farm show.Did you watch the farm show???????? Want was your favorite part???????
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I would like or dislike living on a farm. I would like living on a farm because I would get to be with all of those animals. I would also like to ride a horse. I would not like living on a farm because a farm is dirty and I don't like getting dirty. I also won't like how stinky it is on a farm.
ReplyDeleteI went to te farm show and it was so crouded also there was a line for the bus and it was 12 feet long my family was waiting for the for an hour wating for the bus.Then we left.I wish i could go to farm show so bad because i want to see the stachuse made out of buter.MY whole family was upset when we got home everbody was upset and bord!It doesent realy matter we are going next weekend.Tats what i had to say obout farm show.

ReplyDeleteNo, I wouldn't like to live on a farm because you need to take care of animals like pigs, horses and sheeps. So its difficult to take care of all the animals you have. Another reason is that I have to be busy. But the farm show sounds fun. Do you want to live on a farm?

ReplyDeleteI LOVE seeing the butter scolpthers too. It makes me in the mood for toast.I also love seeing the animals. I HATE the chickens because when I went there one tried nibbling my ear off.

ReplyDeleteHow can you get 1,000 pounds of butter?I would go to one if I was aloud to. One reason I might not be able to go is we don't have time to go to the farm show.I really wish I could have fun at the farm show.
ReplyDeleteApsilootly because I love farms. I LOVE farm fresh food. I wonder how they tell the difrents between one kind of apple and another. But if I could pick one food out of all the farm foods I would say I like apples. I LOVE apples.

DeleteI would like to live of a farm because I love animails and I like to pet cats and I like when they cuddle up into your lap.But i like all kinds of animails like dogs, ducks, and cows. But i DO NOT like the small of POOP, just like Nate. I wonder if farmers like all of their animails. BYEEEEEEEEEEEE BYEEEEEEEEEEE!

ReplyDeleteI would definitely live on a farm because I love the surroundings and animals on the farm. I kinda like the smell of manure. I would love to help plant fruits, vegetables feed the animals and just about everything. I wonder if some people ever get tired of living on the farm. I know it isn't possible for me to get tired of the farm. I really want to go to the farm show.

ReplyDeleteI would not like to live on the farm because I would have to smell odor and would not go to school. I would also have wash vegtables and would not et to play video games.I have to clean up animal poop too.
ReplyDeleteNo I would not be a farmer because it wold cost a lot of money and a lot of land to take care of. The other thing is that I would have to take care of the animals which would be hard work. I don't rember if I went I would love the butter scalsures. It would be fun to host a pig race to.

ReplyDeleteThat does sound pretty cool because it is made out of butter. I would not live on a farm because I don't really like farms that much and you have to take care a lot of stuff there.
I went to the farm show this year. It is very cool and fun. I saw the utter sculpture. I still can't believe that it is a thousand pounds of butter. The butter sculpture is all about Pennsylvania. What I like about the farm show is the fried mozzarella cheese cubes and watching all the boys and girls barrel racing, roping miniature cows and poll racing. I would definitely live on a farm cause of the horses and the fruits and veggies. Cause I have always wanted a horse of my own and the sheep a so soft. The smell of fruits is so refreshing and eating fruits is even better cause they are so juicy. The farm show is so cool.
ReplyDeleteWell I'm not sure that I would like to have a farm because it would be a lot of work but it would be nice to have a horse or two. I wouldn't like to live on a farm because I would have to help with things I don't like to do. I would also not like to live on the farm because you get filthy.

ReplyDeleteIn Germany, I visited a huge farm that had many animals on it. There were cows, horses, ducks, pigs, dogs, cats, and a lot of mice running around! The farm also had a big playground with a boat and a creek. I had so much fun at this farm and I hope to be able to visit it again! Would you like to live on a farm. I wouldn't because it is too much work for me!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if I am going to the farm show but I will ask my dad .But if I go to it I am really excited to see the 1,000 pd. butter sculpture . I heard that it is free to get in so my dad might take me. I always wanted to attend the farm show but I never got too. Maybe this will be the year. I would like to see the animals such as the sheep and the horses.
ReplyDeleteIf I lived on a farm I would sell the place because I do not like getting messy and doing work on a farm. I do not like doing work because I don't want my clothing to get stained by all the dirty animals. I do like cats and dogs but the other farm animals I am not to crazy about. I went to a farm once where they had a pig race and they had a corn maze. That was actually a fun day at a farm.

ReplyDeleteI never herd of a farm show in tell now.They have animals,butter sculptuers,and little shops.I Wonder if the butter sculptuers ever melt,and I bet it took along time to make the butter sculptuers and wow 1000 pounds of butter I can not beleave that.I wonder what animals that have and if there are talented animals,do they have contests for the animals.I do not want to live on a farm because there old and grose and I hate the look of it,but I would like the big open front yard.When it snows I could make a giant snow man.In the summer I could play with friends but I just do not want to live in a farm and that's what I think about the farm show.:)
