This week we are going to give a new award called The Purple Teapot Award. You may choose to give this award to anyone you think deserves to be recognized for something good they have done. You may select a family member, classmate, team member, teacher, or friend. Write a few sentences about the person you selected and why you felt they deserve your Purple Teapot Award.
Here is my selection:
I am giving my award to my neighbor, Linda. Every day she visits an elderly woman in our neighborhood and makes sure she has her lunch. This is a very special thing for her to do!

I'm going to thank my head basketball coach for the award because coach Matt helped me be a better basketball player!
ReplyDeleteI would give a award to my parents. I would do that because they do nice things like take me to the doctors, buy cats and dogs, adopt homless animals and buy us clothing. ReplyDeleteI would give the Purple Teapot Award to my classroom "granny." Every week our "granny" volunteers at least an hour of her time to talk to my students. She talks to them about reading, about writing, about their lives, and about a website they are beginning to create. She has spent countless hours with us either in person or "virtually." Not only does she volunteer every week in the classroom, she provides us with a way to share our ideas and learn about other students' points of view. She does this as the author of The Purple Teapot. I love my "granny" and I know my students do too!
ReplyDeleteIf I had to pick I would say my friend Ben. I picked Ben because he is always helping when I get hurt. And he is SO nice to me Ben and is very funny. And is a great friend to play with I play with him ever day.
ReplyDeleteI would haft to know my answer right away because this person is a not just good, absolutely positively great romodel and a great person to have as a teacher...I'm giving the award to my awesome teacher, Mrs.Musone! When ever she dose something wrong, she still try's it again! She also is funny. She lets us do some stuff that some teachers don't let there student's do, like sit on the counters. Now that is awesome. She also lets us bring in toys for sharing! That's awesome, to. There's so many thing's that I admire about Mrs.Musone, but I can't say them all because I don't have all day. All I haft to say is that she is a great person to have that reward!
ReplyDeleteI would give the Purple Teapot Award to my dad because he is a fire fighter and he saves lives in fires. He puts his life to danger when he could be sitting on the sofa watching TV. But when he is not on the job he is taking care of me or doing his part time job going to schools to make sure that there water is clean. One time I got to go with him test the water my self it was fun maybe when I am older I will go more often and he will not have to do his job because I would be doing it. That is why I picked my dad to get the Purple Teapot Award and because my dad is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI think I will give My Award to my mom for taking care of me and my older sister when my dad was in Poland and Russia for the past week or two but now he is in Germany. I think that she really deserves this award because last week I was even sick for a day so my mom had to stay home instead of going and having lunch with her friend because that is what she planned to do. I also think she wins the award of best mom because she is so nice and fun! And I think she was very brave when she went to England with me, my dad and my sister because she is scared to ride that high on air planes and that is why I give credit to my mom for the Purple Teapot Award.
ReplyDeleteI would give my award to my dad. It's been tough times getting through our new schedule in the morning but he's getting us through it! Now we have to go faster and up until today I've had to go to my friend's house in the morning so my dad can drive to Harrisburg to get to work. Now he can't get to work early like he wants to and used to. But he still works hard at his job of helping people who don't have very much money buy food with food stamps! I think my dad is awesome!

DeleteI would choose Miss. Tanni my gymnastics coach because she likes to have fun at practice but she is a hard worker and pushes us. She makes us achieve our goals. She is also good at supporting you jump to the high bar because when I was afraid she said " I will help you." and then I then I knew she was right so I did it trusting her and I made it. She kept putting less support on and now I can do it with not much support. I like Miss. Tanni and she was my coach for level 3 and level 4 coach also. That is who would get the award in my opionon.

I would give it to because he doesn't just keep the puck to him self in fact almost every time he gets the puck he passes it to some won else. I really look up to him because he try's to get every body a goal. He is a defensemen but when ever my couch wants him on offence he doesn't say now way I'm a defensemen instead he says sure.

He is my dad,he has been my basketball coach and soccer coach,he has pushed me so hard to become a better athlete, and he loves me with all his love. He has been an amazing coach for me and has taught me a lot of new things about soccer and basketball. I am now a good athlete because he has pushed me so hard.I wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for him. I love my dad so much for what he has done for me!<3

DeleteI would have to give the Purple Teapot Award to my classroom granny Mrs.Sheffer because without her we wouldn't have this website The Purple Teapot because she made this website so people can comment on post or make your own comment. I'm glad she made it because a lot of people commenting on wonderful website. This is why I definitely picked Mrs.Sheffer as my Purple Teapot Award.

And I think this because he is always there for me and I am there for him so we care for each other whenever I get hurt or when he does so I guess were even with each other! But I also have a friend named Tyler he is pretty much the as Wil but there are little differences between those two!

ReplyDeleteIf I had to give a purple teapot award I would give it to my Poppy because he is the best Poppy ever and he is a firefighter and that is what I am doing when I grow up. I also think that my poppy is the best poppy ever because he is vary nice. My poppy also is the best because he was the first person to get me a quarter pounder with cheese.

He always practices with me and he is always there for me when I practice and after practice he treats me to a
ReplyDeleteSnack. Also because my dad teaches me harder math and reading. I read to him every night and do math problems with him every night. I would give the award to my mom because she always reads with me to. Also she let's me help her grade her students tests ad I get to come too her school with her on the weekends. When I finish reading books she lets me sometimes get a prize. They both help me out and encourage me to do things.
I am going to my mom & dad because they are always so nice to me they get me cool stuff for holidays and my birthday. They also help me with home work and give me food clothes a house and all the other things you need to survive. They also play with me and some times we all just relax and watch my favorite T.V show M*A*S*H or my parents will just relax and I will go play and lave them alone after a hard day.

DeleteIf I had to pick I would choose my Uncle Matt! I would give this award to him for a bunch of reasons. 1. He helped serve our country in the marines for 20 years and retired last year in 2011. 3. He is very fun and very very funny. 4. He also is fun to play Nerf war with whenever I do play it's me Uncle Matt and my cousin Joshua. 5. I never really get to see him so when I do I have to make the most out of it because they live in North Carolina. I am very excited because I get to see them next week on Thursday March 8 I am very very very happy that I get to stay down for about a week and a half:)

My family is also caring for me but sometimes bugging me but I sometimes just go with the floe. That is who I give the Purple Teapot Award to! Friends and family!

ReplyDeleteI would have to give my award to my friend Giovanna for being a wonderful classmate and for making me laugh A LOT! She was in my class for 1 1/2 years now and has been really friendly the whole time. She acts really crazy sometimes like when she was pretending to be a bathtub and acted like a monkey. I laugh whenever we talk about it. Another person I would give the award to is my very own teacher, Mrs.Musone. I know she LOVES flamingos and she has taught me a lot of new stuff on the computer.

He is always checking if I am doing the wright thing. He would not ignore me he would help me and he sticks by me. That is why I would choose my dad. I love my dad.
ReplyDeleteI want to give the award to my gymnastics coach Miss TC! She works me super duper hard every day that I am at the gym. She is sooooooo helpful to me when it comes to gymnastics if she sees that I am having trouble with a skill she will help me until it is perfect. She is the best coach that i could ever ask for. Miss TC is the reason that I have 9 metals and 1 trophy and the reason that I can get up out of bed everyday and do what I absolutely love to do! She can let me do the impossible. She is the best.
